Balikbayan Box

Last year, hubby and I sent a total of 3 balikbayan boxes. One each for our families and the other one is for hubby's cousin. But this year though, I'm not sure if I'll be sending a box to my family. It's very costly especially now that they have increased the shipping fee. So instead of sending a balikbayan box, I think it would be more practical to just send them some money and use it to buy a big ticket item like a new fridge, sofa set, or that HDTV I saw recently at a Cyber Monday deals page. I haven't mentioned this to my siblings yet but I'm sure they will understand.
