One of my favorite guilty pleasures to check out on cable tv is the Ellen DeGeneres Show. By the way, does anyone know how much does satellite TV cost. I keep seeing commercials for it but just sounds like it would be expensive. But I digress, Ellen presents the calm cool persona that everyone is looking for in a talk show host, and maybe even a best friend. The show is always good for several smiles and at least one laugh out loud moment every single episode. Ellen presents goofy good-natured comedy that you just do not see on television everyday. Even more impressive is the amount of guests that make appearances on Ellen. Several famous folks have made their dancing entrance just to sit down and have a chat with Ellen.
Ellen is never condescending to her guests. Sure her goofy antics can sometimes derail the conversation, but she drops the one liner as well as anyone else on the small screen. Her comedic timing is among the best on non-scripted television as well. Whenever she makes her entrance and says a few words, it is time to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. Even my wife has gotten into the rhythm of checking out what is going on with Ellen and what guest we can get to see today. Anyone who has ever caught even one minute of the show has likely found himself or herself watching at least until the next commercial, just to see what the blonde will do next.
