MVP
I'm an MVP survivor! MVP or Mitral Valve Prolapse is a valvular heart disease characterized by the displacement of an abnormally thickened mitral valve leaflet into the left atrium during systole. I was experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath at that time that's why I went to see a cardiologist. I was scared because heart problems run in the family and that's the reason why I went for a checkup right away. And good thing I did because my doctor saw an irregularity in my ecg test. But I'm still thankful though because it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was only prescribed with pain meds to manage the chest pains I was experiencing which I didn't need because right after my checkup, the pain went away and never came back again. Amazing, right?
