Choosing the Right Colors for Christmas

The Author of this post is Velma Baird

Every year, I like to do a different theme for Christmas. Sometimes, we'll use the older tree which is white and other times we'll go out and buy a totally different tree that is another color. I really want to purchase a pink tree. I know it's not traditional, but I really love the color pink. I'd also decorate the entire thing in white and yellow ornaments. It would look really retro and cute. I'm not sure if my boyfriend would go along with me, but the pink Christmas tree is my dream and maybe someday I'll go out and buy it and decorate it exactly how I want. For now, I'll stick with my white tree.

This year, we're doing a steel blue theme. All of the ornaments are either steel blue or silver. It looks very urban and industrial and I absolutely love it. I can't believe how well it all came out. The top of the tree is a silver, glittery star that bounces up and down. It's hard to explain, but it looks really good. I also have a lot of clip-on ornaments. My favorite one is a huge silver butterfly that clips onto the one branch of the tree. It looks amazing and the glitter glows when we turn the lights on. After we're done decorating, I make sure to relax a little and watch some DIRECTV. I'm all ready to decorate for next year.
