Boarding School For At-Risk Youth

It is heartbreaking to see on the news about these kids committing suicide, getting into car accidents because of drinking alcohol, or involving themselves with criminal activities and substance abuse. And I cannot imagine how devastating it is for their parents to see these kids wasting their lives away. It is such a tragedy. But there is still hope for these kids and their families. There are concerned individuals who want to help these kids with at-risk youth programs and a group of individuals even built a boarding school for these kids to go to have therapy and support. In this country these at-risk youth programs are needed for these troubled teens and deserve our support and involvement. If at all possible we should help them with funds, supplies, or even volunteer our time to help share the load of transforming the lives of these troubled young citizens. Their lives are not disposable and are not a waste. Although some of them have committed crimes and should be held responsible for their actions, it is much the fault of their environment, or some mental imbalance, and can be corrected with care and correct training of their minds. Many come from broken homes where the pain that they received gave them a view of the world that was very much skewed. Many have loving parents though who need us to stand by them. I know that every parent out there would never want their child to have to go to one of these centers, but if their child did have to go the support of others would mean the world to them. As we live our lives we need to realize that we are not alone, but there are many others who need our help in this noble cause for the reclamation of our youth.
