Call me shallow but I'm really happy because I finally figured out how to manually create the ♥ ♥ ♥ icon. LOL! I used to open MS Word before and copy/paste the icon but now I don't need to do that. Thanks to the cool tutorials online. It's really a big help for dummies like me. Hehe. By the way, to make the hearty icon, all you have to do is press ALT then 3! There you go!

Hello y'all! How's everyone doing? I hope you are all okay! As for me here, well, I'm busy as a bee! I have been running errands here and there. It's never ending! That's why I apologize (again!) to all those who joined my contest for not returning the favor yet. Because of time constraints, I only managed to add 3 new blogs on my list. But don't ya worry. I will work on it as soon as my Mini is here. She's already fixed and good as new! So from Marice down to Czaroma, don't worry because I WILL ADD YOU as soon as I get a chance. Okay? ;)

Bothered...

I am really bothered with my current blog theme. I don't think it fits the main theme of this blog which is all about shopping. I've been trying to look for a more suitable theme but no luck still. Is there any template/theme that you can suggest? I'd be happy to hear your suggestions. Just feel free to leave a comment on this post, okay? I'll be waiting!

Time to Make My Wishlist!

The Bebots Annual Christmas Exchange Gift is here again! Which means, I need to make my wishlist! We have to pick 3 items each from a local and online store. So that makes six wishes! And the items of choice should not exceed $30. Shipping not included of course. So... what can I wish for that's worth $30? Hmmn... lemme think... Okay, I give up. A Scenic Drive

Last week, my friends and I went to Ogden to attend a party hosted by our dear friend Jacqui. It's a 30 to 45 minutes drive but we didn't get bored because the scenery is beautiful. We have a clear view of the mountains, the rail tracks, as well as the houses and steel buildings along the highway. Even my lil boy didn't get cranky during the long drive because the view outside kept him entertained. We even saw some cows and horses freely grazing around! I am really glad that I was able to come along in that trip. It was refreshing plus I got to reconnect with friends that I haven't seen for a long time.

New Look Again!

Despite my crazy busy schedule the past few days, I was able to squeeze a little time to tweak the look of this blog. I loved the previous theme and layout except for the auto "read more" part though so I decided to revamp this blog again. But I am not yet thoroughly done with this one. I am still working on the header graphics as well as the entire color motif. So check back if you can, okay? ;)

Bit By the Shopping Bug!

I took this "Do You Shop More Than Most Women?" at BLOGTHINGS and the result reveals that I Have Been Bitten By the Shopping Bug! What can I say? Guilty as charged! LOL! By the way, here's the detailed interpretation:

This is soooo ME and I am not going to deny it. But what can I do? I'm a girl and I love to shop! And it doesn't help either that my hubby spoils me. *grins* But I only maxed out one card... and it happened only once!

Speaking of vacation, we just got back from a short trip to Long Beach, California and up until now I feel like I'm still on vacation. I haven't gone back to my old routine yet so our house is in a real mess! Plus I have loads of laundry waiting for me so I really don't know how I will keep up with all these chores. I just hope the vacay bug will go away soon so I can put things back to order.

New Look!

For the nth time, I changed the look of this blog. LOL! I wasn't satisfied with the previous layout because it showed a very huge gap between my post and footer. I might have messed up the codes while customizing it and although I used all my powers to fix it, I couldn't. So I gave up and chose another template. Hope you like it!

Mommy Fabulousity is Back! ;)

Hello everyone! After 10 days of hiatus, here I am trying to get back into the swing of things. My baby and I got out of the hospital last Feb. 28 and thank God my CS delivery went smoothly and lil munchkin came out healthy. Although he was small for his gestational age, his pedia said there's nothing to worry about because he is a healthy baby and he doesn't have any physical abnormalities at all. Praise God!

Anyway, to those looking forward to seeing munchkin's pictures and reading his birth story, just tune in to BLOGSILOG because I will post it later today or tomorrow morning. ;)

Weekend Round Up

OCTOBER 22 (Wednesday)

Hubby was up so early because he was scheduled to take his driving test at this school owned by a Vietnamese. As for me, I opted to stay home. 9am is way too early for my wake up time and for sure the husband will be late for his test if I keep him waiting. At 10am, I got a “distress call.” Hubby told me the school was still close. He tried calling the owner but he couldn’t reach him so he asked me to go online and look for other driving schools here in SLC. He can’t afford to waste time. He needs to get a driver’s license before Saturday to comply with the bank’s requirements. If not, they will add a collateral insurance on our auto loan to protect their interest and that in turn will increase our monthly payments. Good thing though, I found this school that accepts walk-in clients and I was able to schedule a driving test that same day at 5pm. So we went there, hubby took the test and… failed. The instructor was very particular with head checks and hubby lacked on that department. We found out later from our friends that when you drive here, you really need to do head checks and not just rely on you side mirrors. And if you’re taking the test, you have to exaggerate it. One friend of ours even got a ticket from the traffic police because he didn’t do a head check. He reasoned out that it was pretty late (11pm) and there wasn’t any cars that time so there’s no need to do a head check but then it’s what the law dictates so he still got a ticket for that.

My Friday

I’m so tired and scattered brain right now so I will just post my activities today in bullets. Here goes…

* Slept late last night so as expected I also woke up very late… around 11am I think.

* Had to rush because I have my ultrasound appointment at 1:30pm. Cooked pancakes for lunch and took a bath after. I was still in the shower (naked) when our friends arrived with their kids. Their little boy barged in to our bathroom without a word so just imagine how loud my scream was! LOL! Thank gawd for shower curtains though. At least, I didn’t scare the lil boy. Haha! Lesson learned: always close the door!

* We all left for LDS Hospital. Hubby already have his learner’s license so he got to drive our new car (but with Bam on his side of course). He can’t drive not unless a licensed driver accompanies him.

* Had my ultrasound but this time it took a lot longer because both the sonographer and doctor checked/assessed every body part of our lil munchkin. Everything’s normal, thank God! And same as before, our munchkin was moving a lot while the whole procedure was going on. Consistent talaga ang “you have a very active baby” comment. Hehe! We also got to confirm our baby’s gender!

* After the appointment, Bam dropped us off to our apartment and off they went to their pediatrician because his kids are scheduled for their flu shot.

* Took a nap while dear hubby prepared our dinner. At around 8pm, Bam and hubby went out to practice driving while his wife and kids stayed here in our apartment. The lil boy behaved this time but his lil sister got naughty. She dunked my hand bag in the toilet bowl! Yaiks! Disaster talaga! Buti na lang I emptied the contents of that bag before they arrived. Kakalurkey na mga bata!

So that’s what transpired today. Wala naman akong ginawa talaga pero napagod pa rin ako. Must be because my belly’s getting big na. :smile: Anyway, I am hosting another contest here in my blog so watch out for it okay? I’ll post the contest mechanics later…
