Going to see Santa is something I look forward to every year. Even though I am an adult, I still get giddy when the Christmas season falls upon us.
In mid-December, I set aside an entire day to devote to visiting with Santa. Of course, I'm not doing the visiting myself - it is my children who get to see the jolly old elf. We get up early and have a special breakfast on the day we visit Santa. During the meal, there is lots of talk about what to ask him for and what his reindeer must be like. By 10am, we are packed up and ready to go - all I have to do is set my home security alarm from Securitychoice.com/ and get the kids in the car - and we're off to the local mall, where Santa awaits.
As we enter the mall, the glittery Christmas lights and huge decorated tree welcome us. A line always wraps around the center of the shopping center, as excited children and their parents wait for their turn with Santa Claus. Finally, when it is our turn, my kids climb up into his lap and give him their wish lists - assuring him that they have been good all year long.
Visiting with Santa Claus is one of the most memorable experiences each Christmas, and as my children grow, I hope they remember their visits with him for years to come.
