After weighing all the pros and cons for several weeks, my husband and I decided to spend our vacation next year touring parts of Europe, specifically Belgium and Spain. I am glad that finally we have made our decision on where to go so that we could start saving and planning for that vacation. I like planning ahead especially when I am this excited. I want every day of our vacation to be spent well. So, I have been checking on the internet on what things and food to try and what places and architecture to see. I have two cities in my list so far. One is in Spain and the other is in Belgium although my goal is to see two to three cities in each country.
The first on my list is Valencia, Spain. I am particularly interested of the delicious food in valencia especially the famous paella which originated around that city. Valencia is a place rich of a culinary tradition and I will not miss this chance of tasting its cuisine. I could just imagine myself and my husband enjoying a delicious meal of paella and other dishes that have the fresh seafood and local produce after a stroll on the ancient winding streets of the Barrio del Carmen.
The second city that would be in my list of "places to visit" would be the Antwerp in Belgium. It is home of the famous Antwerp Six who are known for their inventive style and craftsmanship. Antwerp Fashion is known for its unorthodox and experimental approach to fashion and shopping. And for someone who loves fashion (that's me!) this is a place I definitely want to see. It would be an enriching experience to see and be surrounded by the culture, architecture, art and fashion Antwerp.
My husband and I are still deciding which other cities we will visit but we have already agreed that they should be interesting places in terms of culture, architecture, food, and fashion.
